Xu Zheng is the founder and president of CoFound Management Innovation Hub, a consulting firm dedicated to helping both for-profit and non-profit organizations with transformation, change management and innovation. The firm has developed innovative methods and process to help clients making transformational changes in their business models and organization culture. Clients include the leading companies in China, like SinoChem, Huatai Insurance, Tencent, Didi Chuxing, China telecom, etc.
Xu Zheng was Vice President of GE (China) Co’, Ltd. from 2010 to 2013 in charge of founding and running the GE China Innovation Center in Xian. It is one of the three Innovation Centers that GE has set up globally.
He worked for IBM (China) from 1988 to 2008 in a number of different roles in sales, marketing, and strategy. From 2005 to 2008, he was General Manager of IBM Northwest Region.
In 2009-2010, Xu Zheng was Vice president of Shaangu Group Co. Ltd., a leading Chinese turbine machinery company, in charge of corporate strategy and service transformation. The business transformation model he developed and implemented was recognized as an outstanding one by business and government groups.
Professional Background
Xu Zheng’s focus has been on research in business transformation and organizational change. His book of Dancing with Elephant, published in 2011, provides insight about and a framework of IBM’s transformation journey from 1993 to 2008. His second book, Six Essentials of Enterprise Transformation, was published in Nov., 2014. This book was created through the use of crowd sourcing on the internet. Over 350 participants were attracted as co-authors. His third book of Industrial Internet in 2015 , and forth one Light Strategy in 2016/2019, also received good feedback from Chinese business circle. Light Strategy English version will be published by Design Media Publishing Ltd. in U.K. in 2019. He has also written for a number of the leading Chinese business magazines including Business Review.
Xu Zheng is Certified Master Facilitator (CMF) by INIFAC, a global leading facilitation organization based in Seattle in US. The CMFs is a top global facilitators professional community which hold 38 professionals at present.
Xu Zheng has bachelor degree from Chongqing University and an MBA degree from the University of Maryland in US. He is doctoral student in Xian Jiaotong University.
