Visionary and practical, and a deep listener and synthesizer, she guides nonprofits and professional service organizations along the spectrum from mission, vision, and strategic planning to effective governance, leadership coaching, and equity, diversity, and inclusion. Nancy is a Boardsource-certified governance consultant, a Columbia University-certified executive coach, and the first U.S.-based Systemic Team Coaching master practitioner; she is also co-author of the American Institute of Architects’ Guides for Equitable Practice (2018-2020). She has particular experience with the building industry, associations, higher education, and nonprofit organizations and foundations.
Nancy began her career in brand management, marketing, strategic planning, and new ventures with Procter and Gamble, American Express, and Bank of America. She earned her BA in sociology and her MBA from Yale and holds an MA in women’s studies from Southern Connecticut State University; she was a PhD candidate in religious studies at Lancaster University, UK. Based in New Haven, CT, Nancy has been a local and national nonprofit volunteer since 7th grade and a consultant and facilitator for over 25 years.
