Below you will find a simple explanation of the four items. For the interested CMF\u00ae candidate, we highly recommend you thoroughly read the requirement details.\n<ol type=\"A\">\n \t<li>You must document a minimum of 30 distinct facilitated sessions over the three-year period prior to application. Establish the highest degree of rigor and consistency available by implementing defined scoring guidelines for each competency and sub-competency. Promote the highest standard available for facilitator quality by requiring an 80% or higher assessment score in each competency. Following a review of existing competency models, the initiating team developed a draft of competencies and sub-competencies specifically designed to define the knowledge and skills needed to achieve outstanding facilitated sessions. To gain additional input on competencies, the initiating team commissioned a research project that included a survey of over 450 facilitators and clients. The survey requested participants to 1) respond to the definition of an outstanding facilitated session, 2) identify the facilitator skills needed to achieve an outstanding facilitated session, and 3) rate the importance of 57 skills in achieving an outstanding facilitated session. Using the input gathered, the initiating team redrafted the competencies by dropping some, adding others and modifying many. The result is the \u201cMaster Facilitator Competencies\u201d with six competencies and 30 sub-competencies. If sponsors are all\u00a0from the same organization, they\u00a0<u>must\u00a0<\/u>be from different departments.<\/p><p><strong>CAVF\u00ae<\/strong><\/p><p>A candidate for Certified Advanced Virtual Facilitator\u00ae must serve as the primary facilitator for 7 \u201cdistinct\u201d facilitated sessions with a minimum of five different project sponsors from a minimum of three different organizations.<\/p><\/div><\/li>              <li><a class=\"uk-accordion-title\" href=\"#\">Do I receive credit if I am already a certified facilitator?<\/a><div class=\"uk-accordion-content\"><p>A current CLF\u00ae, CCF\u00ae, CSF\u00ae or CAVF\u00ae will receive credit for the 10 sessions submitted to certify, as long as the application for CMF\u00ae or CMLF\u00ae is submitted within the required time frame.<\/p><p>Facilitators who have received the Certified Professional Facilitator\u00ae designation from the International Association of Facilitators receive credit for 10 sessions for CMF\u00ae and 7 sessions for CCF\u00ae.<\/p><\/div><\/li>              <li><a class=\"uk-accordion-title\" href=\"#\">What is the Valid Duration of Experience?<\/a><div class=\"uk-accordion-content\"><p>The experience requirement can be met based on sessions completed over the three-year period immediately preceding the date of your application.<\/p><\/div><\/li>              <li><a class=\"uk-accordion-title\" href=\"#\">What about Virtual Sessions?<\/a><div class=\"uk-accordion-content\"><p>If more than 50% of the attendees are not in the same room as the facilitator, the location listed on the application should indicate \u201cVirtual\u201d.<\/p><p>Virtual sessions will be considered for those applying for CMF\u00ae, CCF\u00ae, CSF\u00ae, CMLF\u00ae, CLF\u00ae and CAVF\u00ae. Only 15 of the required 30 sessions submitted by the candidate may be virtual.
